Stagg Soprano Ukulele

I’ve wanted to play the ukulele for years and after looking online at adverts for leather sofas for sale for ages and ages because my sofa was broken, i realise that buying a ukulele would actually make me much, much happier than buying a sofa.
After getting some advice from other ukulele players I opted for the Stagg Traditional Soprano Ukulele from Playrecord.net. It has a solid mahogany top and the fingerboard and bridge are rosewood which makes the whole thing look really smart and also no doubt helps to create a better sound. The total length is about 21 inches which is I think fairly standard.
I love playing it and it really does sound so much richer than the cheap colourful alternatives. I still think if you’re not sure about how much you’ll use it then it’s good to go for a cheaper option initially, but if you get hooked (as I did) then paying a bit extra will guarantee a nicer sound.
This particular model cost £38.99 so it didn’t cost the earth but cost a fair amount and I do feel it is good value for money.
This ukulele also comes with a black nylon Gigbag which is really convenient and also looks really sweet. This website was pretty easy to navigate and the searches were quick.
Another good thing is that if you find a cheaper alternative elsewhere you can click a button to let the website know and they’ll check this and if necessary update their prices accordingly. There are ukulele accessories on the site too so I’ll probably have a good look at what’s on offer once I get going. All in all it was a good site and I love the ukulele I chose. It’s sweet petite and sounds great.
